Korea's Dmz
(Forgotten Soldiers of a Forgotten War)

DMZ- Demilitirized Zone
The term comes from the geographic buffer zone that was set up between North Korea and South Korea following the UN "police action" in the early 1950s. This buffer zone is a divider of different factions that are in the area. Factions being different countries for example China, South Korea, and so on. The Dmz is said to be one of the most dangerous places on the earth at this moment. Interviews with soldgiers shows the intimidations that the Dmz provide. "This wasteland is riddled with artillery craters, barbed wire, minfields, graveyards, the skeletons of villagers, booby trapped." William Holinger. The media coverage of the Dmz is not televised anymore. Only three weeks ago three marines were shot in action and killed when they came under attack while walking the line. For fifty years know deaths have been going on in the same way but no one seems to care.
